BA (Hons) Photography at the University of South Wales offers a hands-on approach to the study of photography in a creative, dynamic and vibrant environment. It provides an opportunity to develop your creativity and intellectuality through the exploration of photographic practices, including the artistic, critical and professional aspects of the field.Course Content: This full-time course, split over three academic years, offers an extensive period of sustained photographic practice. This practice is underpinned by theoretical, technical, intellectual and professional development modules. Encompassing both digital and analogue technologies, the course content is driven by Industry-oriented workshops where professional photographic practices are introduced and developed through a series of projects.Key Modules: The course includes modules such as Critical Studies, Contextual Studies, Personal and Professional Development and Major Project, providing a comprehensive range of study areas. The course will expose students to photographic genres including documentary, fashion, editorial, commercial, and contemporary fine art photography.Accreditations: The course is accredited by the University of South Wales.Future Careers: BA (Hons) Photography graduates have pursued careers in freelance photography, studio management, curating, publishing, teaching, and further research.
