The BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying & Commercial Management course at the University of East London is a career-focused program designed to equip students with the necessary skills to progress in the commercial sectors of the construction industry. Course Content: The course curriculum is divided across three years of study, with each year building on the knowledge and skills gained in the previous year. Year 1 introduces students to the principles of built environment and construction technology, followed by modules related to cost modelling, construction law, and environmental studies. Year 2 deepens the understanding of construction economics, measurement and cost planning, management procedures, legal disputes, and contract resolutions. Lastly, year 3 comprises advanced modules of measurement and estimating, cost management, dissertation, and development economics.Key Modules: Key modules in the course include Construction Economics, Construction Law and Dispute Resolution, Construction Technology and Environmental Studies in Year 1, followed by Building and Company Law, Management Procedures and Standard Forms, Measurement and Estimating, and Cost Modelling in Year 2.
