The Undergraduate Nursing Studies (Adult) course at Glasgow Caledonian University is a three-year degree program. This course aims to equip students with the essential skills and knowledge required to become a registered nurse in adult health care. The course follows a practice-led, patient-centered curriculum that combines theory and practice to provide a rich and diverse learning experience.Course Content: Throughout the course, students will develop their knowledge and understanding of nursing in contemporary health and social care environments, explore acute and continuing care, and study infection prevention and control, health improvement, and leadership, management and team working. Key Modules: The key modules include Biological Sciences; Professionalism and Essential Skills for Nursing Practice; Lifespan and Development including Pharmacology; and Complexity of Nursing Care Across the Lifespan – Adult.Accreditations: Upon successful completion of the course, students are eligible to register as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).Future Careers: Graduates can go on to work in a variety of health and social care settings such as acute trusts, community settings, home healthcare, non-profit organizations and the pharmaceutical industry.
