The Law and Practice LLB (Hons) is a full-time undergraduate course offered by the University of Huddersfield. Designed to prepare students for a wide range of careers in the legal sector, the course equips students with a solid foundation in the critical areas of English law, offering the chance to study both the theory and the application of the law.Course Content: This course offers a thorough understanding of English law along with the opportunity to study optional modules in areas of law that interest you in your second and final year. The course is based on work-related scenarios and practical exercises, giving you much-needed legal skills.Key Modules: The key modules covered in this course are noted as follows - Year 1: Foundations of Law, Legal Skills, Contract Law, Criminal Law. Year 2: EU Law, Land Law, Legal Research and Reasoning, Tort Law. Year 3: Employment Law, Equity and Trusts,Research Project and Legal Advice Centre plus choose one from a range of optional modules. Accreditations: This course is accredited by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) and the Bar Standards Board, meaning it is a qualifying law degree. Upon completion, you will be eligible to pursue further training to become a solicitor or barrister.Future Careers: With a degree in Law and Practice, graduates can find numerous career opportunities in various fields including legal professions, government and non-profit organisations, banking, finance and other corporate environments.
