The Medical Genetics BSc (Hons) course offered by the University of Huddersfield aims to offer an immersive learning experience focused on understanding the links between genes, disease, and therapy. The course equips students with a wide range of knowledge in molecular biology, genomics, bioinformatics and ethical aspects of medical genetics. Course Content: The course begins with a solid foundation in understanding human genetics and inheritance, diseases at the molecular level, and the issues involved in genetic counselling. In the second and third years, students gain expertise in advanced genetics and genomics, medical genetics, and biological and analytical chemistry in addition to developing their research skills.
