BMus(Hons) Music Performance

The Music Performance BMus (Hons) course offered by the University of Huddersfield equips students with the necessary skills to become professional musicians. Through this bachelor's degree, students will develop their performance skills, musicianship, understanding of music history and research, and awareness of the contemporary music industry. Course Content: This three to four-year course requires full-time study and covers broad course content, taking students on an exploration of music by giving them opportunities to perform in a variety of settings, both alone and with others. Students will be taken through many important areas such as instrumental or vocal study, solo performance, ensemble playing, music research, and music administration. Key Modules: While the course structure varies from one year to another, key modules include Solo Performance, Orchestral and Ensemble Techniques, Music and Ideology, Inventing Music, and Professional Project.
