BEng(Hons) Electronic and Communication Engineering

The Electronic and Communication Engineering BEng (Hons) at the University of Huddersfield is an undergraduate level program designed to equip students with a solid foundation in electronic and communication engineering principles, as well as robust problem-solving skills. This course offers the opportunity to work on real-world projects alongside experienced industry professionals and it also includes the chance for a placement year in industry. Course Content: The course provides a strong foundation in electronics, communication, design, programming, project work, mathematics, and physics, with case studies, software skills, and engineering science modules.Key Modules: The course structures around three main year levels. The first year covers fundamental concepts like Electrical Principles, Basic Engineering Mathematics, and Systems and Circuits. The second year focuses on more specialized aspects such as Signals and Systems, Integrated Circuits, and Electromagnetics. The final year covers advanced topics such as Communication Systems, Digital Signal Processing, and Advanced Electronics Design.Accreditations: This course is accredited by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) and the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE).Future Careers: The course provides an excellent platform to launch a career in a wide range of industries.
