BA(Hons) Graphic Design

Graphic Design BA (Hons) is a full-time undergraduate course offered by The University of Huddersfield. This course lasts for three years and is specifically curated for creative individuals with a keen interest in visual communication. It provides a wide scope for expressing your creativity and ideas, while also offering the perfect balance between practical skills and conceptual thinking.Course Content: In the first year, the focus is on developing broad-based design skills, linking drawing, colour and 2D/3D form to develop effective design communication. The second year aims to explore, in more depth, the core skills of graphic design, including typography, image-making (illustration/photography) and digital media. The third year encourages individual direction, developing personal visual language, readying students for the professional world or postgraduate study.Key Modules: Some of the central modules of the course are Typography and Visual Exploration, Design Media and Techniques, Graphic Design Practice and Theory, and Professional Design Practice. Accreditations: The course is accredited by the Chartered Society of Designers (CSD), providing students with free membership whilst they study, and for the first three years after graduation.
