The Fine Art and Illustration BA (Hons) is an undergraduate course offered by the University of Huddersfield. Students enrolled in this course will have the chance to blend practical creative work while also academically exploring the intriguing and stimulating world of art and illustration. The course allows students to work across a wide range of materials and mediums ranging from painting, sculpture, print, photography, video, sound, performance and digital media.Course Content: The course comprises of three years of study with each year having two semesters. During the first year, students are introduced to the context of contemporary art practice, the principles of observatory drawing, and the basis of drawing from life, still life, and structure. During the second year, students will undergo more specialized training, covering key areas such as advanced drawing skills, mixed media and painting, sculpture, printmaking, and digital media. The third and final year offers students the opportunity to work on their independent projects, dissertations, professional practice and portfolio development.
