The BA (Hons) Film Studies course at the University of Huddersfield seeks to offer an in-depth understanding of the history, theory and practice of filmmaking. The course enables students to study a wide range of films, from Hollywood blockbusters to independent and international cinema, while also exploring the critical and theoretical aspects of film studies. Course Content: The course is divided into three levels. In level 1, students are introduced to the history of cinema and the basic principles of film form and narrative. In level 2, students delve deeper into the historical and international aspects of cinema, studying films from various genres and countries.
