BA(Hons) Early Childhood and Education

The Early Childhood and Education BA (Hons) at the University of Huddersfield provides students with an understanding of the importance of providing young children with beneficial learning experiences. This is a flexible course that allows you to focus on your own personal interests while also developing a broad foundation of knowledge on early education.Course Content: The BA in Early Childhood and Education spans over three years full-time, integrating and evaluating a range of educational theories. Students learn about the role of play in learning, the influence of families and society on children’s development, gain skill in planning, implementing and evaluating learning experiences, and relate theories of teaching and learning to practice. Key Modules: The key modules for this course include Understanding and Observing Child Development, Learning and Play in the Early Years, Current Issues in Early Childhood Education, Safeguarding in Education, and Work Activity with Professional Development.Accreditations: This course is endorsed by the Early Years Educator (EYE) providing Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS) for those qualified to work with children from birth to five years old.
