The Biomedical Sciences BSc (Hons) course at the University of Dundee provides a comprehensive understanding of the human body and the diseases that affect it. Students will have opportunities to become conversant in a range of laboratory and scientific skills while studying topics involving genes and cells to whole body systems.Course Content: The course comprises a foundation year (Level 1 & 2) to provide a grounding in biological and medical sciences, followed by two years (Level 3 & 4) where students can specialise in areas such as Molecular Pathology, Human Anatomy, Human Reproduction, Clinical Pharmacology, Immunology, Microbiology, Neurobiology, or Cancer Biology.Key Modules: Some of the key modules include Neurobiology, Immunology, Molecular Pathology, Clinical Pharmacology, Advanced Molecular Biology of Cancer, and Cell Signalling in Health and Disease.Accreditations: The programme is accredited by the Royal Society of Biology (RSB) for the purpose of meeting, in part, the academic and experience requirement for the Membership and Chartered Biologist (CBiol).Future Careers: Graduates are well-prepared for a variety of careers including those in biomedical research, medical and laboratory diagnostics, forensics and policy development.
