The Biological Sciences undergraduate course at the University of Dundee provides a world-class education in the life sciences. Course Content: The course spans the breadth of biology from genes to ecosystems, and allows students to specialise according to their interests. In year one, the course involves five core modules which will introduce students to the broad range of topics within the field of biological sciences. In subsequent years, students can choose from a wide range of module options, tailoring the degree to their specific interests. Key Modules: Some of the highlighted modules are Genes and Evolution, Environment and Behaviour, Cell Biology, and Metabolic Regulation. Students will also undertake practical coursework and research projects. Accreditations: The course is accredited by the Royal Society of Biology for the purposes of meeting in part the academic and experience requirement for the Membership and Chartered Biologist (CBiol). Future Careers: Graduates from this course often go on to work in research, pharmaceuticals, environmental management and conservation, biotechnology, forensic science or food industries.
