BSc Adult Nursing

The Adult Nursing BSc(Hons) course, offered at the University of Dundee's Kirkcaldy campus, focuses on taking a patient-centered and individualized approach to adult nursing. Throughout the course, the aim is to foster practical skills, enhance healthcare knowledge and build the confidence needed to respond appropriately to adult's health needs.Course Content: The program offers a blend of learning approaches including lab and practical skills workshops, problem-based scenarios, simulation, and digital technology. A large part of the student's time is spent in clinical practice across Fife, where they get the hands-on experience they need. Moreover, students are also given the opportunity to undertake an international placement in countries like Tanzania, Finland, Spain, or Canada.Key Modules: Key modules within the course include Foundations of Nursing Practice, Nursing Assessment and Decision Making, Applying Evidence to Practice, Preparation for Professional Practice, Management of Long-Term Conditions and many more.Future Careers: After completing the course, graduates will be prepared to work as adult nurses in various settings, including hospitals, the community, or residential homes.
