The Child & Adolescent Mental Wellbeing: Theory and Practice MSc offered by the University of Lincoln is built around the promotion of mental wellbeing, prevention of mental health issues, and early intervention in children and adolescents. This course aims to enhance the knowledge and skills of professionals and recent graduates, who are, or aspire to be, working in related fields.Course Content: The learning modules are divided into named routes to enable students to focus on their specific interest area. The modules provide theoretical insights into areas including psycho-social, behavioural and emotional challenges that many young people face, along with effective strategic approaches to promote mental wellbeing in children and adolescents. Key Modules: The course includes modules in Research Methods and Design, Current Issues in Mental Health, Bio-Psychosocial Issues in Health, Current Issues in Child and Adolescent Wellbeing, and a Dissertation. Future Careers: After completing this course, students can pursue a wide range of roles in health and social care, education, social work or voluntary services.
