The Law and Criminology course at Lincoln University aims to provide students with the opportunity to study the fundamental legal and criminological theories in-depth. Combining the core elements of both subjects, students will explore the intersection of crime, criminal justice, and law.Course Content: The course provides an in-depth understanding of legal principles and criminal offenses, policy and responses to crime and criminal behavior, corruption, and miscarriages of justice. Students will also develop skills in research, problem-solving, and communication.Key Modules: The core subjects that students will delve into include categories of law, criminal law, law and ethics in criminal justice, public law, crimes against the individual, and criminal justice and punishments.Accreditations: The Law component of this course is recognized by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) and the Bar Standards Board as a Qualifying Law Degree (QLD). Future Careers: On completion of this course, students will be well-equipped with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills for a wide range of careers including policing, criminal justice agencies, the prison service, or charities supporting crime victims.
