The University of Lincoln offers a Midwifery BSc (Hons) degree for students seeking to become professional midwives. The course aims to develop competent, confident midwives to practice in a variety of settings. Here, students are given the chance to cultivate a deep and systematic understanding of current theory, and the knowledge, skills and proficiency integral to the role of the midwife. Course Content: The curriculum includes a blend of theory and practically-focused modules, providing students an understanding of the physical, emotional and social changes a woman goes through during pregnancy, labour and the early postnatal period.
