The Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) at the University of Lincoln aims to produce competent and confident veterinary practitioners by providing a comprehensive training programme in all species. The students will be educated in a globally aware environment and will gain skills needed for a range of careers in the Veterinary field.Course Content: The course is taught by experienced clinicians and academics, and offers a strong component of veterinary biosciences, enabling students to link modern bio-scientific knowledge with clinical decision making. The students will develop skills to work safely and effectively in a variety of clinical situations to improve animal health and welfare. They are provided with opportunities to gain hands-on experience with a wide range of species. The course is designed to allow students to follow their own clinical interests, hence a wide range of elective modules are offered in final years.Key Modules: Key study areas typically include animal health science, animal management and husbandry, introduction to animal behaviour and welfare, clinical studies, veterinary public health, research project, and many more. The course also provides electives in final years where students can choose to specialize in specific areas.
