BA (Hons) International Business Management

The Business Management course at the University of Lincoln is designed to provide students with a diverse understanding of contemporary issues in business through a focus on areas such as leadership, organisational behaviour, and strategic management. With an eye towards the future, this course also provides students with an opportunity to develop their entrepreneurial skills and incorporate independent research through a self-designed project, thus preparing students to become innovative business strategists in the increasingly global and digital marketplace.Course Content: The course is structured to ensure that students acquire essential knowledge in areas such as decision making and business strategy, along with practical skills. Cumbersome but critical subjects such as the role of finance in business, principles of marketing, and understanding entrepreneurship form the crux of the curriculum. The programme also encourages students' global business perspective with modules on international business challenges and global supply chain management.Key Modules: Students are expected to complete core modules that include Business Communications, The Business Environment, Fundamentals of Marketing, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Strategic Management and Leadership, International Business, and Finance for Managers among others. The final year allows for a focus on strategic level issues through compulsory modules like strategic management while introducing students to new topics such as human resources and managing business projects.Accreditations: This degree is accredited by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI). This means that students will have the option of gaining a professional qualification in addition to their degree upon successful completion of the course.Future Careers: The Business Management course is designed to prepare students for a wide range of careers.
