MSci Nursing (Adult) and Leadership

The Adult Nursing and Leadership MSci course at the University of Derby provides students with a platform to become a confident, competent and innovative adult nursing practitioner. Creativity is fused with scientific enquiry to shape your learning while supporting your transition to a fully registered nurse. Course Content: This course is a uniquely designed integrated Master’s program that includes the theoretical knowledge, clinical skills, and leadership qualities necessary to deliver high-quality nursing care. Students undertake modules in nursing practice and decision making, leadership in contemporary healthcare, and evidence-based strategies. It also includes a final year project where students apply their learning in a field of practice.Key Modules: The course has a broad range of modules like Influences of Health and Wellbeing, Nursing Practice and Decision Making across the Lifespan, Improving Safety and Quality in Healthcare, Leadership in Contemporary Healthcare, and Independent Project or Systematic Review or Work Based Project.Accreditations: Upon successful completion of the course, students will be eligible to register with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).Future Careers: The course grooms students for rewarding careers in a wide range of adult nursing settings – from community health to acute hospitals.
