The MA History course at the University of Derby is a dynamic postgraduate course that is designed to provide students with a deep understanding of history from a variety of perspectives. The course provides an engaging and intellectually challenging programme that is flexible according to the needs and interest of the students. Course Content: The course offers the opportunity to explore a wide range of periods and themes from British and global history. This includes specialist subjects such as Genocide in 20th Century Europe, Representations of the Holocaust and Nazi Germany, and American Civil Rights movement amongst many others.Key Modules: The course consists of core modules in Historiography and Research Methods. Optional modules are varied and change yearly, but may include: ‘Voices from the Street: Crowd in Europe 1870 – 1939’, ‘Journey to the Centre of the Earth: Reinterpreting the History of Mining in Britain’, and ‘"When Did You Last See Your Father?"
