BA Hons History and Economics

The History and Economics BA (Hons) joint honours course offered by the University of Derby is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of historical events and their economic impact. By intertwining theoretical and analytical study of economics and detailed examination of past events, this course encourages the students to apply economic theories and techniques to real-world issues and perceive history from an economic standpoint.Course Content: This course includes a wide range of topics in its syllabus such as Economic Policy and Principles of Economics in the first stage; Quantitative Methods 1 and History Research Project in the second stage; and International Trade and History Independent Study (Double Module) in the third stage. .Key Modules: Some of the key modules covered in the course include Understanding Global Business, Economic Theory into Practice, Economic History and Theory, and Battle over History.Accreditations: This course holds recognition from the Historical Association, the UK national organisation for history.Future Careers: Graduates are equipped with a wide range of transferable skills including critical reasoning, research proficiency, and clear communication honed through this course.
