BA Hons Business Management and English

The Business Management and English BA (Hons) is a joint honours degree offered by the University of Derby. This course provides the student with an opportunity to study business and English together, thus combining creative thinking with business acumen, ready to tackle future global challenges.Course Content: The Business Management course enables students to understand and critically assess various components of business including management principles and concepts, international business, operations management, business research, and more. The English part of the degree focuses on language, literature and writing skills from creative writing to playwriting, exploring professional and creative writing genres, Victorian literature, contemporary literatures, and more. Students are encouraged to enhance their critical thinking, creativity, and communication skills. Key Modules: The Business Management modules include Business Economics, Business Research Issues and Analysis, International Business Management, among others. The English segment consists of modules such as Creative and Professional Writing, Writing Genres, and Literature in Context. Accreditations: The Business Management part of the degree is accredited by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI).
