MChem (Hons) Chemistry

The MChem Chemistry course at Nottingham Trent University offers a comprehensive education in chemistry. The course allows students to study chemistry in significant depth with the opportunity to specialize in both traditional and emerging areas of the discipline. In addition to core chemistry, you'll study modules on medicinal, forensic, and environmental topics. The degree is also focused around the development of the practical skills.Course Content: The course content includes core chemistry topics like physical, inorganic, organic, and analytical chemistry. The course also has a heavy focus on practical laboratory work. In the final year, students undertake a major research project which counts for one-third of the final year's work.
