BEng (Hons) Civil Engineering

The BEng (Hons) Civil Engineering course offered by Nottingham Trent University (NTU) provides comprehensive training in civil engineering theory, skills and practice. Throughout the course, students gain an understanding of the engineering principles associated with the economic, social and environmental factors affecting professional practice. The course is available to study in full time for three years or four years with one year of industrial placement. Course Content: Students enrolled in this course will study subjects like principles of civil engineering, surveying for civil engineers, soil and water engineering, design and construction of foundations, structural design and sustainability. In addition to this, students will also gain practical work experience during an optional placement year, which will equip them with practical understanding and industry insights. Key Modules: The core modules include Mechanics and Structures, Engineering Mathematics, Soil and Water Engineering, Integrated Building Design project with an optional placement year.
