The Play Therapy postgraduate course at the University of Roehampton is the first in the world to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the theory allied to play therapy practice. It includes a clinically-supervised placement in a range of settings, as well as one-to-one and group clinical supervision. Course Content: The course content offers a critical perspective on play and play therapy, and provides a comprehensive and advanced understanding of the theories that underpin the techniques and uses of play therapy. It includes the Child Protection and Safeguarding: Theory, Culture, and Practice module that allows students to reflect critically on the socio-cultural issues that might impact the welfare of the children they will work with. Key Modules: The course is delivered through a combination of theoretical lectures, practical workshops, experiential work, and personal and clinical supervision.
