BEng Civil Engineering

The Civil Engineering Undergraduate Course at the University of Roehampton is a full-time, four-year program that provides a solid foundation in mathematics, design, mechanics, and construction technology. It equips students with the necessary skills to design, build, and manage construction projects.Course Content: The course combines both practical and theoretical approaches to civil engineering. It covers topics such as fluid mechanics, structural dynamics, geotechnology, and concrete and steel design among others. Students will also get a chance to go on field trips and site visits to enhance their understanding of the industry. Key Modules: The main modules to be studied in this course are Building Technology, Construction Materials, Civil Engineering Project, Integrated Design Project, Mathematics, Structural Mechanics, and Surveying and Site Work. Accreditations: The course is fully accredited by the Joint Board of Moderators (JBM), comprising the Institution of Civil Engineers, the Institution of Structural Engineers, the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation, and the Institute of Highway Engineers.Future Careers: Graduates of this course have the potential to secure roles within the civil engineering industry, in both public and private sectors.
