BA (Hons) Interior Design

The BA Hons Interior Design course at London Metropolitan University is for those who wish to explore their creative talent by transforming interior spaces and create inspiring interiors for real-world projects on this internationally recognised course. This course encourages students to explore the relationship between interior and exterior spaces and focuses on developing their design skills to be able to create challenging, competent, and creative design solutions. Course Content: The course includes practical-based studio projects such as commercial and social projects that encompass a wide range of Interior Design typologies. It focuses on creative and critical thinking that enables students to undertake design projects, develop portolio work and gain skills and knowledge in order to succeed in their design career. Key Modules: Some of the key modules covered are Interior Design Practice, Spatial and Material Strategies, Design Research and Integration, and Professional Practice for Interior Design. These modules are further divided into levels from 4 to 6, guiding students through design principles, design processes, and advanced design execution.Accreditations: The course is accredited by the Chartered Society of Designers (CSD) and offers students membership opportunities with the Interior Educators (IE) network.Future Careers: Upon completion of the course, graduates can find careers as interior designers in architectural and design practices, retail and exhibition companies, or as a freelancer.
