The BA (Hons) English Literatures and History course at the University of Wolverhampton combines study of English literature from a wide range of periods and genres with study of history in all its variety, from social and economic to political and cultural history. Course Content: In the first year, students will undertake core modules in English literature and history, allowing the development of skills in critical reading and historical scholarship. In the second and third years, students choose from a range of options which allows them to study a variety of periods, places and genres in more depth. Key Modules: Some of the key modules include "Literature in Context", "Shakespeare and his Contemporaries", "The First World War and British Society", "Transatlantic Gothic", and "Representations of the Holocaust".Future Careers: This course opens up a range of career possibilities including journalism, publishing, PR, teaching, advertising, and careers in the public sector.
