The BSc Hons in Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Greenwich is a three-year full-time undergraduate program. This course aims to develop your understanding of how the body functions and how it reacts to drugs, the discovery, design and development of drugs, the latest advances in genomics, and the regulation of medicines.Course Content: The curriculum includes a core focus on the basic sciences underpinning modern pharmacy and pharmacology, including pharmaceutical and medicinal chemistry, pharmaceutical technology and product design, pharmacology, pharmacodynamics and therapeutics. You'll also study professional pharmacy practice, and learn about the regulatory process that ensures drug safety and efficacy. Key Modules: Some of the key modules include the Fundamentals of Biochemistry, Introduction to Human Physiology, Science Extended Project, Chemistry for Pharmaceutical Sciences, Essentials of Human Physiology, Drug Discovery and Design, and Quality Assurance and Drug Analysis. Accreditations: This course is accredited by the Royal Society of Biology (RSB) and the Institute of Biomedical Science (IBMS). Future Careers: Graduates can pursue careers in various areas, including pharmaceutical research and development, pharmaceutical and healthcare industries, laboratories, clinical trials, regulatory affairs, quality assurance, and teaching.
