The BA (Hons) History course offered at the University of Greenwich invites students to traverse through the timelines of British, European, and World histories. From the Middle Ages to the current day, this degree embarks on a holistic exploration of feeling 'present in the past'. It offers an expansive view into the economic, cultural, political, and social aspects of History.Course Content: The course revels in exploring a wide range of fascinating contexts that includes working-class life, mental health, witchcraft, religious conflict, and monarchy. It encourages students to indulge in debates, explore research in archives, participate in field trips, and engage with local history. The course provides ample opportunities to increase their employability through work placement options.Key Modules: There are a plethora of modules such as Global Empires, 1400–1700; Themes in British History; Americans: The History of a People; From Hell: Jack the Ripper and Late-Victorian Society; and Film and History, among others.Future Careers: The degree in history helps students develop analytical, research, and communication skills that enable them to excel in various fields. This includes careers in teaching, law, the civil service, media and communication, and more.
