The Master of Architecture (MArch) program at Northumbria University is a full-time course that grants students the opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge in architecture while paying close attention to current architectural practice. This course integrates practice and theory in its (RIBA/ARB) part 2 course, which allows students to further progress towards becoming an architect.Course Content: The course content is delivered in three integrated streams which are 'design', 'cultural context', and 'technology and environment'. Design projects are central to the course and are supported by the cultural context and technology environment streams. The course additionally includes a substantial research or design project pertinent to architecture without the restrictions of other course modules.Key Modules: This course consists of numerous modules including Integrated Architecture Studio, Architectural Management, Practice and Law, Advanced Architectural Design, and finally a self-guided Architectural Thesis.Accreditations: The MArch Architecture is prescribed by the Architects Registration Board (ARB) and validated by the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA).
