BSc Hons Physiotherapy

The Physiotherapy BSC (Hons) course offered by Northumbria University is a full-time undergraduate degree designed to prepare students with the skills and knowledge that are required in the dynamic and evolving field of physiotherapy. The course is designed with a focus on practical, experiential learning, providing opportunities for students to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world settings.Course Content: The course provides hands-on experience, theoretical learning with research-informed teaching and learning methods. This course is based on exploring the treatment, assessment, and management of patients suffering from cardiac, respiratory, musculoskeletal and neurological diseases, combining theory and practice.Key Modules: Key modules of this course are Human Physiology, Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy 1 and 2, Neurological physiotherapy 1 and 2, and cardiorespiratory Physiotherapy 1 and 2.Accreditations: The course programme is approved by the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) and the UK Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Upon successful completion of the course, students will be eligible to apply for registration with the HCPC as a Chartered Physiotherapist.Future Careers: The course offers an excellent pathway to careers in physiotherapy within the NHS and private sector.
