    The Sociology BSc (Hons) Single Honours at the University of Chester is a course that critically examines society and the social transformations that shape it. By understanding sociological theories and concepts, students develop a broad range of specialized knowledge and skills.

    Course Content: The program is structured around core and optional modules over three years of study. In the first year, students learn foundational concepts in sociology. They go deeper into sociological thinking in the second year. In the final year, students undertake independent research and choose from a range of specialist modules.

    Key Modules: The course consists of several modules including Sociology in Practice; Foundations in Sociological Thought; Crime, Deviance and Society; and Equality, Diversity and Rights.
