The Accounting and Finance BSc (Hons) Single Honours is a three-year full-time course offered at the University of Chester. It is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the principles and theories of accounting and finance, with a strong focus on developing the necessary skills for the professional world. Course Content: This course includes a variety of modules, with a focus on quantitative methods, financial reporting, management accounting, corporate finance, auditing, and taxation. It also includes a research project in the final year where students can choose a topic related to accounting and finance. Key Modules: During Stage 1, students are introduced to Building Blocks of Accounting and Finance, Quantitative Methods and Economics. In Stage 2, students advance to Financial Reporting and Accountability, Management Accounting for Decision Making, Corporate Finance, and Corporate Law and Governance. Lastly, in Stage 3, students tackle Critical Perspectives in Management, Strategic Management Accounting, Audit and Assurance, and Strategic Financial Management.
