The History and Politics course at the University of Chester is a combined program designed to give students a comprehensive understanding of the political and historical events, ideologies, and systems that have shaped and continue to shape the world. The course also aims to develop students' skills in research, analysis, communication, and independent thinking.Course Content: The History and Politics degree is a three-year program with an optional placement year. The program provides rich content, giving a balanced mix of both disciplines. In addition to the core modules, students can also select from a range of optional modules to tailor their course to their interests. Key Modules: In the first year, key modules cover areas including 'The Making of Britain', 'Understanding the Modern World', and 'Political Theory'. As students progress through the degree, they get exposed to a comprehensive suite of core and optional modules, which include 'Revolution!', 'The USA in the World', and many more. Future Careers: Graduates have the option to venture into multiple career paths. Employment options include careers in law, public services, journalism, teaching, and further academic research among others.
