The Education (BA Hons - Single Honours) at the University of Chester is a full-time, three-year undergraduate degree designed to equip students with a broad understanding of education. The course is aimed to inspire students with a critical and reflective understanding of education in its broadest sense. Additionally, it prepares them with life-long transferable skills that borrow from a range of disciplines.Course Content: The course covers areas such as the nature of learning and teaching; the history and future directions of education; and the impact of government policy. The students will get to explore perspectives from sociology, philosophy and psychology to help them understand what education is, how it works and how they can contribute to it. * Key Modules: Some of the key modules include 'Perspectives on Education', 'Special Educational Needs, Disability and Inclusion', 'Early Childhood Education', 'Sport and Physical Education: Contemporary Issues', and 'Independent Study'. The latter is a double module, providing students with an opportunity to conduct original research on a topic in the field of education that interests them.* Future Careers: After completing the course, graduates have moved into a diverse range of careers and further study.
