BA (Hons) Archaeology and History

The Archaeology and History degree at the University of Chester offers an exciting opportunity to students interested in understanding more about the past and its relationship to the present. Key Modules: Key areas of study include: Archaeology Skills and Techniques, History of Chester, Early Civilisations: Egypt and the Near East, Greek World 3000 BC - 1550 AD, Archaeology of Britain, Age of Empires: Rome AD 200-450, Vikings and Medieval Europe 400-1100 AD, People and Place: Urban and Rural Histories, Public History, Museum Studies.Accreditations: Whilst the course does not appear to offer specific accreditations, the University of Chester is a well-established and recognized educational institution in the UK.Future Careers: The skills and experience acquired during this course could propel students towards a career in archaeology, museums, the heritage industry, teaching, librarianship, records management and local government.
