BA (Hons) Acting 

The Acting BA (Hons) Single Honours course offered by the University of Chester provides an immersive and detailed programme of study geared towards developing professional and passionate actors. It provides intensive practical training in acting techniques, combined with academic study. Course Content: The course includes three years of rigorous training in acting techniques, stagecraft, vocal and physical skills, and understanding of the creative and cultural sectors. Practical sessions are supplemented with lectures, workshops and tutorials. Students are also offered opportunities to work with visiting industry professionals and to see work in professional theatres.Key Modules: The course is divided into modules to provide a wide range of study opportunities. Key modules include Techniques for Performance; Actor and Text; Introduction to Theatre & Performance Studies and Contemporary Performance Practice.Accreditations: The course is approved by Drama UK which assures that students will be studying on a course that reaches national standards. It's also recognized as valuable preparation for postgraduate study in Drama and Creative Practice.Future Careers: The programme prepares students for a wide range of careers, both within and outside the performing arts sector.
