BA Music (Performance)

The Music Performance BA (Hons) course at the University of Hull is a 3-year program designed to develop your individual practical skills as a performer while also gaining a deeper understanding and appreciation of music in its broad context. This course provides you with a full overview of the world of music, exploring a wide range of styles and genres while also offering numerous opportunities to perform on stage. Course Content: The course is divided into six modules per year. You will study music performance, ensemble skills, music in practice, and music aesthetics and criticism in the first year. In the second and third year, you will delve deeper into advanced practical music making, practical project, specialist study in performance and a host of option modules spanning areas such as composition, music technology, film music or musical theatre. Key Modules: Some of the core modules include Music Performance, Ensemble Skills, Music Aesthetics and Criticism, Advanced Practical Music Making, Practical Project, and Specialist Study in Performance.Future Careers: The course prepares students for a range of careers including performance, teaching, music therapy, arts administration, and music journalism.
