MSc Dietetics (Pre-registration)

The MSc Pre-Registration Dietetics course offered by Manchester Metropolitan University is a two-year postgraduate programme designed to provide students with the required knowledge and skills to become competent dietetic practitioners. The course aims to prepare students to register with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the British Dietetic Association (BDA).Course Content: The course content is divided into a variety of theory and practice units that are based around the study of metabolism, nutrition, therapeutic dietetics, food service, dietetic practice and professional and research skills. Key Modules: The key modules include Therapeutic Dietetics, Applied Nutrition, Professional and Research Skills, and Dietetic Practice. This also includes an independent study and research for the dissertation. Accreditations: The course is approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and is accredited by the British Dietetic Association (BDA). Future Careers: Graduates from this course can go into careers as registered dietitians working in both health and social care.
