BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy

The BSc Physiotherapy course offered by Manchester Metropolitan University is a three-year full-time degree that equips students with the skills and knowledge to provide expert care to individuals experiencing a range of physical challenges due to injury, ageing, illness or disability. Graduated from this course will be able to register to practice as a physiotherapist in the UK.Course Content: Throughout the course, students get a blend of practical and theoretical learning. The course involves learning in the University’s specialist physiotherapy skills laboratories, practical placements in diverse settings across the city and region, encouraging students to learn about physiotherapy in the real world. A variety of topics are covered during the course including anatomy, physiology, pathology, therapeutics, psychosocial aspects of healthcare and professional practice. Key Modules: The course is designed with numerous core modules including Applied Physiotherapy Practice, Foundations of Physiotherapy Practice, Person-Centered Physiotherapy Practice, Research-Informed Physiotherapy Practice, and Transformation and Leadership in Physiotherapy. Accreditations: The BSc Physiotherapy course is endorsed by the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) and approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Future Careers: On completion of the course, graduates can register to practice as physiotherapists within a variety of healthcare settings – including the NHS, private practice, sport, and charities.
