BSc (Hons) Environmental Science

BSc Environmental Science at Manchester Metropolitan University is an undergraduate course designed to equip students with a deep understanding of the scientific principles underpinning environmental issues. This course also offers an opportunity to spend a year studying overseas at one of the University's partner institutions in North America or Australia, providing a global experience and perspective. Course Content: The course is a blend of practical and theoretical learning, involving fieldwork, laboratory-based experiments, workshops and lectures. Topics include understanding environmental and sustainability issues, exploring biodiversity, studying geospatial analysis and using GIS, learning about earth's changing climate and managing environments, among others. Key Modules: Some of the key modules are Sustainability and Environmental Management, Biodiversity and Conservation, Research and Field Studies in Geography, and Contemporary Issues in Human Geography.Accreditations: This course is accredited by The Institution of Environmental Sciences (IES) and The Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management (CIWEM).Future Careers: This course prepares students for various careers such as Environmental Scientist, Sustainability Consultant, Environmental Analyst, and Regulatory Officer.
