The BA Filmmaking course at Manchester Metropolitan University is a highly practical, industry-focused degree that will help students produce, direct, and screen their own cinematic pieces. It enables students to leverage the latest digital technology and explore creative and technical issues related to traditional and contemporary filmmaking processes. Students will also have the chance to work with academics who are active filmmakers and researchers as well as benefit from guest lectures from industry professionals.Course Content: The course duration is three years full-time and comprises 360 credits. In year 1, students will gain the fundamentals of filmmaking, including interpreting scripts, camera operation, editing, digital FX, location sound recording, and production management.
