The BA French and Spanish course offered by Manchester Metropolitan University is an undergraduate degree aimed at students looking to master both the French and Spanish languages. This program is structured to provide a balanced understanding of the two languages' cultural, social, and political aspects through various modules and study abroad opportunities.Course Content: The curriculum equips students with high-level language skills in French and Spanish by teaching both languages from a beginner or GCSE level. The course provides a broad understanding of the political, social, and cultural aspects of French and Spanish-speaking countries. Study abroad opportunities are available, offering immersion in the target languages and their associated cultures.Key Modules: The core modules range from Language Skills in French and Spanish, Exploring French and Hispanic Cultures, to Aspects of French Cinema and Introduction to Hispanic Cinema. There are additional complimentary modules like Experiments in Genre, Basic Linguistics, and Popular Musics.Accreditations: The course is accredited and recognized by the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) and also offers the added advantage of a Dual Award.
