The Occupational Therapy Pre-Registration MSc at Leeds Beckett University is a full-time professional programme providing a rich learning experience where the students will gain valuable knowledge, skills and attitudes required to be a safe and effective occupational therapist. This course encourages students to become reflective, committed, resourceful and innovative therapists. Course Content: The course provides an integration of theory, research and its applications to occupational therapy practice, enabling students to develop a profession-specific knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to work as an autonomous practitioner. Throughout the course, students will engage in 1,000 hours of practice placements, under the supervision of practice educators. Key Modules: Some of the key modules include Foundations of Occupational Therapy, Occupational Therapy in Practice (for physical and mental health contexts), Occupational Therapy: Leading and Managing in Professional Practice, and Independent Study in Occupational Therapy.Accreditations: The course is accredited by the Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT) and the World Federation of Occupational Therapists (WFOT). Future Careers: Graduates of this course will be eligible to register as an Occupational Therapist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
