March Architecture

The March Architecture course offered by Leeds Beckett University is a part-time or full-time course done over one to two years. This program aims at providing students with the necessary architectural skills and knowledge required to practice professionally. The course design incorporates project-based learning to facilitate the application of theoretical knowledge to practical situations. Course Content: This course focuses on integrating theoretical knowledge with hands-on intuition. It includes a mix of creative studio work, theoretical studies, professional studies and elective studies. Students are taught through workshops, lectures, seminars and independent study. They engage in studio work, professional and theoretical studies where they design complex buildings and focus on technical aspects of small-medium scale constructions.Key Modules: The course follows a Carol Grow Model pedagogic approach of practice-led learning and comprises modules on Design Praxis, Technical Studies, Cultural & Theory Studies, and Professional Studies.Accreditations: This program is jointly accredited by the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) and the Architects Registration Board (ARB).Future Careers: Upon completion of the course, the graduates would be equipped to work in wide-ranging architecture roles, be that in small or large scale practices.
