The Mental Health Nursing BN (Hons) at Bangor University is a three-year course. This program is designed to prepare students to become registered mental health nurses, facilitating them to provide holistic care to people diagnosed with mental health conditions. The course consists of equal parts of theory and practice, with students spending 50% of the time in classroom-based teaching and the other half in practical training in healthcare settings. Key Modules: The key modules include Psychosocial Interventions for Mental Health Nursing, Pathophysiology applied to Mental Health Nursing, Professional Role and Context of Mental Health Nursing, Therapeutic Interpersonal Skills, and other relevant modules that make up a comprehensive Mental Health Nursing curriculum.Accreditations: This course is accredited by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), ensuring that the graduates would be eligible to register as a mental health nurse upon successful completion.Future Careers: Graduates can seek job opportunities in various settings including, but not limited to, in-patient and community-based mental health care.
