The MA in English Literature at Bangor University is a flexible course designed for students keen on expanding their knowledge of literature. It provides students a deep understanding of literatures and literary histories, enabling students to develop critical thinking and research skills. Students have the opportunity to explore texts and ideas from the Early modern period to the contemporary era and also explore their own research interests across these periods.Course Content: The course comprises 180 credits split in two parts. Part one is a mix of compulsory and optional modules totaling 120 credits and introduces students to research methods and core texts for the major period-categories. Part two is a research-based project, Takeshi and the Ghosts of Literature, totaling 60 credits.
