The Law with Modern Languages LLB (Hons) programme offered by Bangor University integrates the study of law with the pursuit of Modern Languages. The course duration is four years, which includes a one-year obligatory stay abroad to develop language skills and gain an international perspective.Course Content: The programme provides a comprehensive understanding of English law, along with a deep knowledge of one or two modern languages. The legal modules cover a wide range of areas including criminal law, contract law, and international law. As for the languages component, students can choose their preferred language from French, German, Italian, Spanish or Mandarin (subject to entry requirements). The third year of the programme is entirely dedicated to studying the chosen language(s) at an overseas location, immersing the students in a different culture and language.Key Modules: Some of the key modules in this course include Public Law, Contract Law, Criminal Law, European Union Law, Land Law, Evidence and Legal Systems, as well as language-specific modules such as French Language, German Language or Hispanic Studies.Future Careers: Graduates from this programme are equipped for careers that need a deep understanding of law and languages.
